Who we are
Our children’s church is called Shine and it is for children from the age of 3 until the end of grade 7. We believe that church should be a safe, fun, welcoming place that children will want to return to again and again. We place a high value on building relationships – child to child, child to adult, and most importantly, with God. We want our children not just to know about God, but to build a relationship with Him. We want them to know that He is real and that He is with them and that He loves them. In all we do we aim to be show the children a Father who is involved in their lives. We want to see each child grow in all that God has for them, and become who God has created them to be.
What we do
We believe that children have the same Holy Spirit as adults do, so we do everything that would be done in an adult church, but with a lot more movement and noise.
We start the morning with a few games, we celebrate birthdays, and then we worship God together with music and dancing. We spend time talking to God and hearing Him talk to us. We share stories of what God has done for us and celebrate together. Preschool children have their own worship time with the same elements. After our time of worship we break into age groups.
